Welcome to WheelsCR.com! The English pages related to the Fijatevos.com autos database for Costa Rica, which offers you used vehicles for sale in Costa Rica from dealers that are direct importers. When you find a car you like, just call or go to the dealer and buy it. It's that easy! They offer you financing and they can even accept a car you have as a trade in, provided it is in good condition.
Some of the cars you find here were traded in, so they have their license plate and technical inspection up to date. The dealers also have vehicles imported directly from the USA and Korea. The dealer will get the auto inspection done and the temporary tags issued, Then they can help you register it all in your name or work with your attorney if you prefer. All vehicles you see here have a guarantee on the motor and transmission and each agency has been carefully selected, so you can deal with them in full confidence.
There are two ways to find a car you like. The quickest way, if you can muddle through a bit of Spanish on your own, is to click here, Browse All Vehicles, or here Search for Vehicle also...

Do you need to find a car fast with a minimum of hassle? Would you like someone to interpret for you, drive you from dealer to dealer and assist you with the purchase process or negotiating?
Then you can take advantage of our PASS service. For a one time fee of $250, we will pick you up at your San José hotel and take you to see cars. We can visit dealers listed on the web site, or other reputable dealers. We will also help you negotiate a good price, since Kattia is a Tica and she gets the price before you visit the lot you can be sure that you are not paying more than the local market value.
The Autos Fijatevos site is set up so that you can find a car, and dealer or importer on your own. The prices there are the same as what you will find on the lot. Each agency passes a background check and pays a monthly fee in order to have their cars listed on our site. The site is only there to offer you the convenience of the Internet, we don't receive any commission on sales made from the site. However, if you don't speak Spanish, don't already have a car and don't know your way around San Jose; well then things could get complicated for you. First, you'll have to pay a taxi driver, to cart you around. Then, when you get to the agency you'll have to pay him to wait and you might find that there is no one on duty who speaks English. If you like the cars, then you won't have any trouble paying for it! (unless you didn't want to carry all that cash with you) But you might have difficulty understanding the transfer process and also figuring out when you can pick up your car, since it must go through a temporary registration process if it is being brought to the country for the first time. With your PASS, then you don't have to worry about any of that. We'll consult with you before you arrive and determine what models and price ranges are convenient. If you don't have a local account and don't want to carry too much cash with you, then we can advise you as to the different options for funding your purchase. We'll take you right to a reputable dealer who has what you need, and if you don't find something you like we'll take you to the next one. No wasted time, no stress and no worries!
We completed our new home in Dominical Costa Rica in January and wanted a car to travel around Costa Rica with. Kattia picked us up at the Marriott hotel and took us to several dealers in order to find a diesel SUV with automatic transmission. We eventually chose a 1997 Galloper at Autos Kim.
Since the car needed temporary tags, which wouldn't be ready until after the weekend, we asked Miguel to deliver the to us in Perez Zeledon for an additional fee. He was happy to comply, the car was delivered on time and in top condition, and has been just what we need for traveling the rough roads of the southern zone.
We were very happy with the Pass Service since it made everything so easy. Having a Tica, who knows the marketplace and reputable dealers, show us around gave us a lot of confidence at the time of purchase. Also we got a great price on a great car at a dealer we never could have found on our own.
Thank you Kattia and Russ, Pura Vida!
